Murchison Bush Camp

Introduction
Exclusive Camps and Lodges, Uganda, was established in 2005. Each camp or lodge within the ‘group’, whilst having its own style, has been developed with a similar ethos in mind — to offer good service and an exceptional safari experience to our discerning guests. Our Murchison Bush Camp is erected only upon demand and offers complete exclusivity and is available only to private parties of guests, with a maximum of eight tents.
Sites are chosen for their location – pristine, wilderness areas with easy access to exceptional game viewing. The camp is eco-friendly, and when we depart we leave no trace of our existence. We have designed this intimate camp to offer complete comfort in a relaxed environment – located in private areas away from other lodges. We invite you to stay with us, and enjoy our hospitality.
Murchison Falls
The vast area of the north bank of the Nile river at Murchison Falls National Park offers the perfect location for us to erect Murchison Bush Camp. We utilise a site near the Nile river delta area shortly before it flows into Lake Albert. This gives guests access to a large range of activities, including early morning and late afternoon game viewing in prime areas of the park, as well as direct access to boats for river activities.
Fishing for Nile Perch – one of the largest fresh water game fish in the world with records of over 100kg having been caught – is popular, and we arrange all the necessary equipment (rods, reels and lures) if guests fancy trying a spot of fishing!

When to Go
Uganda offers a temperate climate all year round but Murchison area is hotter and drier during Jan/Feb. Generally, for those keen on photography, it is particularly rewarding in Mar/April and June/July, as the air is clear.
Game and bird life is prolific all year round, but bird-watching is particularly good during the summer months (Oct–Nov) for migratory species as well as endemics.
