Our Tanzania team takes care of our airport pickups, camps, game drives and everything in between from their base in Arusha, gateway to the safari circuit.
All our safari guides follow the TATO Safari Guide Code of Conduct & Ethics and cannot wait to share the many treasures of Tanzania with you.
George Mgaya
George’s qualifications include Wildlife Management, Rifle and Walking Trails courses, Field Practical and Training in car mechanics and camp management. George started off as a guide at Mount Kilimanjaro and worked as a waiter in camp for a few years before he became a Guide. An extremely friendly, helpful guide (with his welcoming smile!) keen to share his knowledge and teach others, he is very proud of his country and the National Parks.
His hobbies include playing football (supporting Arsenal), reading books and listening to music. George has what appears to be a limitless knowledge of birds of Tanzania, confirmed by his well-used and familiar bird book.

Severine Massawe
Severine trained in Arusha as a Professional Tour Guide and worked as a Camp Manager before freelance guiding for time. Severine has been working with Wild Frontiers for over 10 years. He has worked his way up through hosting guests in camp, taking fly-in guests on game drives. Despite his youth, Severin possesses extensive knowledge of everything related to the bush.
He describes himself as being a good listener and problem solver. Severine enjoys watching wildlife videos, listening to choir music, and reading different books and magazines.
Claudian Kahunduka
Claudian was born in Tanzania in Arusha and studied Hotel Management. After gaining valuable experience working in camps for many years as chef, then camp manager, Claudian has chosen to follow the more active profession of guiding and can speak Spanish. He has been in the industry for a long time and all other guides like and respect him due to his ethics and calm mature manner of guiding, yet he is still willing to learn. Claudian has a mature manner of guiding that ensures the best level of service, he particularly enjoys 1 on 1 conversations, and can speak Spanish.
Christopher Manase
Christopher has a genuine passion for nature, particularly flora and fauna, which he explored further during his studies in South Africa. Known for his cheerful demeanor and constant smile, he enjoys singing, bird watching, and football. His hobbies include driving, reading, and traveling, reflecting his curious and adventurous spirit.
