Ishasha Wilderness Camp, QENP Uganda, has undergone a massive facelift, for those of you who have been there before, you may not even recognize it! The changes are almost complete, just a couple more units to finish off - but we wanted to share with you all the 'new look' - which we are most excited about.
I will keep you posted when it's completed (which should be in the next two months or so), but here is a sneak preview !!
The Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park, Uganda, lies to the south of the park and is an interesting region of savannah, riverine and forests. Home to a healthy (and increasing) population of game including large herds of buffalo, elephant, Uganda kob, topi - it also hosts good numbers of lion (often seen up in the boughs of large fig trees), giant forest hog, leopard, chimpanzees and monkeys and numerous other species of game - not forgetting to mention the incredible bird life including the odd looking Shoebill Stork.
Our camp is located on the Ntungwe River - a peaceful location, under shady trees - with resident elephant often visiting the river for water.
